I should have posted this yesterday but yesterday was just so busy and I was so tired and so I’m posting this right now (office break time).

First, thanks a lot to the Subic Olongapo IT Society (SOITS) for inviting me as their main speaker to talk on the topic of PHP and AJAX.  I have to admit, the time was so short (4 hours) to discuss PHP and AJAX clearly so what I did instead was discuss Javascript, especially the DOM and the XMLHTTPRequest and gave the attendees a working example of AJAX.

To those who attended, I thank you all for bearing with me for more than 3 hours.  Hahaha.  I do hope you learned a lot.  If you have questions about it, just feel free to post your questions in the SOITS Forum and I’ll do my best as well as Abe Bayquen to help you.

I promised in my previous post that I will be posting photos but since I’m in the office right now, I’ll just post them tonight when I update this post.  Edit: You can take a look of some of the photos taken here.

Once again, thanks a lot to all those who attended and to SOITS.  Special thanks go to my wife Evelyn for her support, to my sister-in-law Elaine and to our cousin Faith Anne for coming with us and for being our “official” photographers.  Also, I would like to thank my good old friend Elmer for renting us his SUV and driving us to Olongapo and back.
