No, I won’t buy an iPhone

I noticed that many people added the iPhone to their wish list ever since it came out and those who managed to buy it have somewhat been infected by the “I Love Apple” syndrome wherein they just keep on saying how great the iPhone is. Ask them about the problems and they say, “Well, the problems are just minor.”

A few days ago, I was having in the mall with my two daughters. On our way home, we stopped by a cellphone shop selling Samsung’s i900 Omnia. The salesman immediately compared the Omnia with the iPhone pointing out all of iPhone’s flaws and pitching the “advantages” of the Omnia. Well, I have to say that the Omnia does look much better and much more usable than the iPhone and also a bit cheaper. Nonetheless, the “iPhone virus” seems to still linger in my mind until today…

When a fellow blogger - Marhgil Macuha - twittered about this:

iPhone vs Stone

Well, that says it. I definitely won’t buy an iPhone. Even if the iPhone has a bigger screen and more colors than the Omnia, I’d still go for the Samsung i900 Omnia

    hahaha…
i myself is very curious why a lot of people dreams of getting an I Phone, i thought to myself it must be something really great, and it must definitely be a must-have, but then my friend told me the only reason she got for wanting an iphone is it goes with her Apple Macbook, but later on we found out that the Iphone 3g’s bluetooth is not recognized by the MAC as well….

iPhone is really great but as far as I concern it depends the users on how to avoid that kind of virus or syndrome. Those people doesn’t know about the iPhone syndrome, the phone is useless and you have to wait until the latest anti virus for iPhone to remove those kind of virus and again its additional expenses. For me, I prefer to buy the other NSeries than iPhone. iPhone has limited application than the NSeries. Why? some of the application for iPhone is not compatible with other NSeries versions. so, its better to know the features, do’s and don’ts and kind of apps.

i can’t speak for anyone else, but i just got an iphone and it is probably the most useful thing i have ever bought. I have not had any problems. I get full service and internet access anywhere i go and as for pic messaging, how often do you really use that.

The omnia costs 650 dollars whereas the iphone costs 199….The iphone has more features and give access to the app store which really is an innovation for the future. I mean come on the iphone is so versatile you can remote link to your laptop while playing your phone as an ocarina…preaty awesome and cheaper.
