Finally bought my self a Smart Bro Plugit Prepaid Kit. It cost me P1,995 for the Huawei 3G/HSDPA modem and P10 for each 30-minute block. Not the cheapest but I think the most reliable in terms of coverage.
I was however initially disappointed when I tried it at home as my download speed wouldn’t exceed 250kbps. I however had a chance to test it in the province (I’m currently at Orani, Bataan) and I got a whopping 1.44Mb/s. Not bad huh? I think I’m going to love this especially when I’m not at home as I need to be online most of the time.
One little thing that I wish Smart would add is the option to auto-disconnect every 30 minutes so I wouldn’t exceed the 30-minute block if I don’t want to.
